True Frogs (Ranidae) of the United States

The true frogs, family Ranidae, have the widest distribution of any frog family. They are abundant throughout most of the world, occuring on all continents except Antartica. The true frogs are present in North America, northern South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.

There are 31 species, representing 3 genus, found in the United States, only 1 of which is Introduced.
